Ta’limul Quran Project

The Ta’limul Quran Project emphasizes the compulsory recitation of the Quran and learning fundamental Islamic principles for every Muslim, regardless of gender. It is disheartening to note that in Bangladesh, a country where ninety percent of the population are Muslims, five percent of Muslims do not possess basic knowledge of Quran recitation and Islamic fundamentals. In response to this need, the Ta’limul Quran Project was launched on July 30, 1999, at the Taltali Chalehia Islamia Aleem Madrasah Mosque. Its primary objective is to educate all future generations in the pure recitation of the Quran and the fundamental teachings of Islam. Currently, the project operates 15 Quran Education Centers. Over the past 22 years, Alhamdulillah, this initiative has provided basic Quranic education and Islamic teachings to 10-12 thousand boys and girls. The Ta’limul Quran Project operates on a sponsorship system where one sponsor covers half of the center’s costs, and the local committee covers the remaining half. The annual donation rate for sponsoring a center is 10,000 BDT.
